GRAPHICS INSTALL TIPS AND TRICKS-

Follow these steps to make the install process as easy as possible and ensure your decals last the longest they possibly can.

I recommend buying new plastics before applying your decals, this ensures a perfectly clean, smooth surface and helps prevent lifting or spaces for dirt to get under the graphics.

Step 1: Make sure the plastics you are applying the decals on are clean from all dirt, grease, oil, glue and dust. I recommend using Isopropyl Alcohol or Brakleen and wipe with a clean rag or cloth.

Step 2: Line the graphics up first on the plastics before peeling the backing paper off to get an idea of where they are supposed to go.

Step 3: Peel the backing paper off and lightly place the decals onto the plastics, work with you finger or a squeegee and start from the center of the decals and work your way out towards the edges, I would recommend starting with the front number board to get the hang of the vinyl and how it works. Don’t be a afraid to have a few goes as the material is super sticky the glue will still work, This has to be done before heated or the glue will set and won’t be able to reposition. Use a heat gun to work around curved edges, this gives the vinyl more flex.

Step 4: Once the decals have been applied, go over everything with a heat gun or hear dryer. This helps the glue set properly. I recommend heating the graphics again 24 hours later just to be sure you haven’t missed spots. Trim parts with a sharp craft knife if needed. Please be careful when cutting as the knife can slip. (Tip apply heat before cutting to soften material).

Step 5: Once the decals are set on the plastics I would recommend leaving them on for 5-6 days before riding just to let them settle down properly. Sometimes this is not possible so I can recommend if you have a race coming up within 24-48 hours of install just keep a close eye on everything through out the day.

Step 6: Enjoy your new look and feel free to take a photo of your ride and send them through to me, I will post them on my Instagram page.

Key Parts: CLEAN, HEAT, 24 HOURS, ENJOY!

Tips for Cleaning Plastics

Things you will need-

3x Clean Rags
Turps
Brakleen
Isopropyl Alcohol
Heat Gun
Gloves

(If plastics are new give them a heat up first as most new plastics are covered in a oily coating to make them look shiny which may look clean but is not ideal at all for applying stickers)

First wipe down all the plastics withTturps to loosen up any old glue.

Second use Brakleen to wipe plastics down, this dries up the Turps and any remaining glue. Also really gppd at removing silicone if that has been sprayed on the plastics.

Thirdly use Isopropyl Alcohol to give the plastics a final clean down.

Following all these steps should create a perfectly clean and dry surface for your decals to go on.

Watch the video below to see how I would clean plastics.
